The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy ® (ATMAT®)
An Arvigo® Therapy Treatment : It is advised that a course of 2 -3 Consecutive treatments over a 2 – 3 month period are recommended for both men and women, for ladies the best time to have a treatment is 2 – 3 days post cessation of menstruation.
What to expect during a session:
Initial Treatment – 2 Hours –
A comprehensive review of your past and present healthcare needs focusing on reproductive and digestive health, there is a form attached here that you can fill in Male or Female and submit to Jacqueline prior to treatment this allows more time to talk when you come for your treatment. Instruction in Self Care massage which is done by yourself on yourself, at home and helps to enhance your professional session.
Follow up treatments – 1 hour – review of how you have been | changes | experienced since last Treatment. Full Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Massage treatment, followed by Jacqueline refreshing your knowledge of the Self Care Massage Routine to ensure you are doing the techniques correctly and consolidating them to ensure you are practicing them precisely, discussing any concerns you have.
*Upper and lower abdominal massage to help improve circulation to abdominal organs
*Massage to back, sacrum and hips to further stimulate circulation to the organs of the abdomen
*Instruction in Self Care massage which is done at home and helps to enhance your professional session.
*Evaluation of body posture
*Recommendations ** of complimentary modalities to support your health and wellness that may include:
Faja – The wearing of a traditional lower abdomen supportive wrap,
Bajos – A traditional herbal pelvic steam bath of the Maya
Castor oil packs – The application of them
Lifestyle education. Your practitioner will work with you to address your specific needs and may suggest a course of treatments
