As a therapist I have found it to be a great asset to have extended knowlegde and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the body.
To understand how the body ticks, how it moves, and works helps when things go wrong. Enabling me to help my clients put things right. Therefore step into my world and explore the human body together.

While using my Anatomy and physiology knowledge and experience I can assess the situation more thoroughly. Making an informed decision.

I ask myself what looks wrong?
How much range of movement is there?
What muscle are involved?
Where is this shoulder in comparison to the other?
What type of pain are they in?
Nerve, muscular, inflammation?
I don’t have xray eyes however by asking the right questions
Also observing the client how they move their shoulder, how much movement they have? I can make an informed quess.
Then I can start to form a picture and plan what skills I need to help them put themselves back together.

I obtain an insight into the bones, muscles, nerves, blood supply, thats involved. What needs shortening and what needs lengthening. Also I mustn’t compromise the flow of energies, this needs improving and releasing
Ears, what are they hearing? Speak reassuringly, let them know you know what your doing. Ask them how it actually feels and what expectations they have? Alley there fears.
Eyes, their eyes are showing them disfigurement. They are looking at me to see how I react. They will gauge from my reactions the severity of the problem.
Nose, are they sweating, what can they smell?
Touch, How does the shoulder feel? Hot, cold, throbbing, the tissues will tell you what they need.
Taste, They will be looking around and the atmosphere, appearance, environment must be conducive. Because the body needs to heal, calm their nervous system, drop their blood pressure, feel safe, drop the steroid production.
This knowledge means we can help our clients and achieve better results. The more we understand about how the body works, the easier to know whats wrong and how to put it right.
